FAQs

Everything you need to know about our outdoor porcelain — from specification and installation to delivery and aftercare.

What thickness are your outdoor porcelain tiles?

Our outdoor range is full-bodied 20mm vitrified porcelain — engineered for foot and garden-furniture traffic, frost-resistant, and rated for the Irish climate. Matching 9–10mm indoor tiles are available for seamless inside-to-outside transitions.

Are the tiles slip-resistant?

Yes. Our outdoor surfaces carry an R11 anti-slip rating (and many achieve a wet-barefoot ABC classification), making them well suited to patios, pool surrounds, and stepped areas.

Can the tiles be laid on grass, gravel, or pedestals?

The 20mm tiles can be installed three ways: on a traditional mortar bed, dry-laid on a gravel or sand sub-base, or raised on adjustable support pedestals for a ventilated deck. Pedestal installation is ideal for balconies and roof terraces.

How do I work out how many tiles I need?

Use our free Tile Calculator — enter your area dimensions and it returns the number of tiles and recommended wastage allowance. We suggest ordering 10% extra for cuts and future repairs.

Do you offer samples before I commit?

Yes. We recommend ordering a sample so you can assess colour, texture, and tone in your own light before placing a full order. Get in touch with the series you are interested in and we will arrange it.

How should I clean and maintain the tiles?

Porcelain is non-porous, so routine care is simply sweeping and washing with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner. No sealing is required, and the surface resists moss, algae, staining, and UV fade far better than natural stone.

Do you deliver across Ireland and the UK?

We deliver throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and mainland Great Britain. Full timescales and charges are on our Delivery Information page.

Do you offer trade pricing for landscapers and developers?

We do. Architects, landscapers, and developers can access dedicated support, project pricing, and bulk-order terms through a trade account — speak to our team to get set up.

Still have a question?

Our team is happy to help with specification, samples, and project advice.
